The sun is out and cars are rolling Saturday at the second annual Pittsburgh Nitro Jam at Pittsburgh Raceway Park.

After a line of strong thunderstorms pushed through the area on Friday relegating day one of the event a complete washout, the forecast is looking stellar for day two as fans get ready for two huge rounds of Nitro Jam racing beginning at 7 p.m. and racers gear up for the first of two Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am presented by AMSOIL races of the weekend.

The racing action will kickoff at 9 a.m. with sportsman qualifying followed by eliminations. Fan activities will get underway at 5:30 p.m. with the FanFest Pit Party in the Grave Digger pits followed by two huge rounds of Nitro Jam action beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday’s Nitro Jam will include four nitro classes including Pro Fuel Dragsters, AMSOIL Prostalgia Nitro Funny Cars, Nitro Harleys and Fuel Altereds in addition to the Grave Digger monster truck, the 10,000 horsepower Shockwave jet-powered semi and the semifinal and final rounds of the Pro-Am competition.
