Grave Digger celebrates 30 years, returns for another season of Nitro Jam drag racing
By Nitro Jam Media
Nov 4, 2011

In 1982, on the banks of Kill Devil, North Carolina, the legendary Grave Digger was created.

Nearly 30 years later, Grave Digger stands out as the most celebrated Monster Jam performer of all time – including four Monster Jam World Finals championships, hundreds of racing and freestyle wins – and now Grave Digger can add drag racing to its laundry list of accomplishments.

In 2012 Grave Digger will travel from coast to coast to arenas, stadiums and even a few straight-line facilities to celebrate 30 years of unmatched fan entertainment.

Grave Digger will return to the Nitro Jam tour in 2012 after an overwhelmingly successful debut in 2011. Competing against another legend of the quarter-mile, the Shockwave jet truck piloted by Kent Shockley, Grave Digger held its own with driver Randy Brown behind the wheel as the menacing green and black machine took the green light in over half of their matchups.

Now that thrilling finale will return in 2012 with a few additional surprises thrown into the mix. Grave Digger will join an already stellar cast that includes Pro Fuel Dragsters, Prostalgia Nitro Funny Cars, Nitro Harleys, Fuel Altereds and more on a tour of North America.

Check back with NitroJam.com often as the series prepares to announce its 2012 schedule that includes stops at many of the most fan-friendly motorsports facility in the nation.
