Fans of nitro power and extreme speeds need to look no further than the Northern Nitro Jam to get their drag racing fix as the biggest motorsports show on earth returns to Michigan August 12-13 at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park. 

A record four nitro-powered classes will power down Michigan’s fastest track the weekend of August 12-13 and now even more cars have been added to the lineup providing some of the best nitro racing seen anywhere this year. 

Among the classes in action at the Northern Nitro Jam will be two of Nitro Jam’s premier nitro classes in Pro Fuel Dragster and Prostalgia Nitro Funny Car, along with the insane riders of Nitro Harley and the out-of-control Nostalgia Fuel Altered class. 

Additional entries have been added to the thrilling Pro Fuel and Nostalgia Fuel Altered classes to bring the total collection of nitro cars at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park to nearly two dozen. Add in an incredible show lineup that includes two jet funny cars, two jet dragsters, two wheelstanders, the world’s best sportsman racers and the “monster” finale between the world famous Grave Digger monster truck and the incredible 30,000 horsepower Shockwave jet semi and you have an event that simply can’t be missed. 

Adult tickets start at just $25 if purchased in advance and kid’s tickets are only $5. Gates open at 9 a.m. both Friday and Saturday with sportsman racing throughout the day followed by the FanFest pit party on the midway at 5:30 p.m. and two rounds of Nitro Jam beginning at 7 p.m.
