After a two-race swing through the southwest Nitro Jam finally returns home for a stop just a few hours from home base for the Pittsburgh Nitro Jam the weekend of May 20-21 at Pittsburgh Raceway Park located just outside the Steel City.
The Pittsburgh Nitro Jam will complete a three-race stretch of brand new Nitro Jam locations as the series invades Pennsylvania for the first time ever for two days of over-the top drag racing entertainment.
Featuring three nitro classes competing on the eighth-mile, fans will be able to see some of the fastest cars in the world for the first time ever at the Pittsburgh track the weekend of May 20-21. Among the nitro classes will be the stars of Pro Fuel Dragster, championship Prostalgia Nitro Funny Cars and the insane riders of the Nitro Harley division.
Each of the classes will compete heads-up for an Ironman trophy and valuable championship points in the race for the 2011 Nitro Jam crown.
In addition to the nitro classes, Pittsburgh fans will also witness an incredible thrill show as the biggest and most powerful jet semi in the land, the triple engine “Shockwave” jet truck, will take on the world famous Grave Digger monster truck piloted by Monster Jam superstar Randy Brown.
This incredible showdown wowed fans across the southwest and now the “Battle of Monster Trucks” comes to Pittsburgh for two nights at the Pittsburgh Nitro Jam. Wrapping up the incredible event will be a wheelstander and the car crunching, fire-breathing Megasaurus.
Coming off of an event featuring the largest U.S. crowd to ever attend a Nitro Jam earlier this month in San Antonio, Nitro Jam now brings the world’s greatest motorsports show to Pittsburgh May 20-21 for Pennsylvania’s biggest motorsports event.
